This topic introduces you to a number of issues that impact upon or are of concern to contemporary Indigenous Australians. We now investigate Indigenous education and employment.

The following will be discussed;

• Indigenous experiences of education in a Western education system;
• Education for human rights and social justice;
• Education and Criminal Justice/Health/Otitis Media;
• Indigenous Employment;
• Welfare Colonialism.

Objectives

This topic is study towards achieving the following objective:

• demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a range of contemporary issues which impact upon Indigenous peoples and communities.
