What will I learn?
You will gain a knowledge and understanding of pre- and post-invasion Indigenous Australian cultures, including the continuity and change between past and present culture; the impact of historical policies and practices upon Indigenous communities and families; issues which are of concern to contemporary Indigenous Australians including the international human rights framework, health, education, employment, land, and criminal justice.

- Native Title & heritage protection
By completing this course you will be able to;
- apply knowledge of Australia's obligations under the United Nations human rights framework for the protection of Indigenous Australian Human Rights;
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the diversity of Indigenous Australian cultures both past and present;
- critically analyse post-colonisation policies and practices and their impact on Indigenous communities and families;
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a range of contemporary issues which impact upon Indigenous peoples and communities;
- Investigate Indigenous community protocols and strategies to work effectively with Indigenous people and communities.
