The objective is to make students aware that they are learning a new way to communicate. They have small tasks done in class (similar to a performance task) in order to get used to working with real situations.

I have assigned 3 performance tasks related to the topics they have on their textbook during a whole semester and adapted it how they would reach the goal of communicating. After these tasks are performed, I asked them to write down a small paragraph on how they felt, what they learned to do and what they might work on.
