Small FLOSS companies often end up trying to compete with large multinational corporations. An example of FLOSS Business colloboration is the Open Source Consortium
The OSC is a trade organisation representing IT companies providing products and services around Free and Open Source Software. We aim to help our members by helping them find business directly and by working to increase the overall size of the market for Open Source Software.
Interesting feature of their work is the colloborative bidding process they have setup so that small companies can partner with OSC to bid on larger contracts in public tender
