Price

The cost of open source software is almost free. the software itself is free but the support is not free. the company or individual using or interested in using open source software can obtain it by requesting a free CD or DVD or simply by downloading it from the Internet. The cost comes in for the services that one pays for training and installation.

Source Code

The source can be downloaded free of charge and can be modified to suite the user. this can further be shared for other people to benefit.Thats the beauty!

Distribution

The software is widely available for anyone to acquire.
