Evaluation of teaching and learning in the online environment is an essential component of monitoring effective practice. The more open the online environment, the more potential there is for exposure to not only "the good", but also "the bad and the ugly". Therefore, issues of quality are integral to educational design. If starting out, a careful Needs Analysis will help you design an effective online course. If you are already involved in online teaching, you can find out if your approach is effective.
