This is an interactive science lesson that uses a modified version of the Equation Grapher Flash simulation called Sin Grapher to explore sinusoidal functions. The simulation was created by the Physics Education Technology Team (PhET) at the University of Colorado and modified by Rob Kruhlak.
Waves can be described precisely by mathematical functions. They describe the wave motion of water, sound, and light. Sinusoidal functions are very powerful tools for modeling complex phenomena.
