H5P is free and open source software for creating interactive learning activities on the web without needing any knowledge of computer coding.
The following video (8:47 minutes) by H5P expert Oliver Tacke provides a useful overview of what H5P is and how you can use it to make engaging online activities for your learners.
Important note: The information from 6:59 minutes onwards (Oliver's reasons 4 and 5 for liking H5P) is partly out-of-date, as it is no longer possible to create H5P activities for free directly on the H5P.org website, except to try out a couple of content types for a short period.[1] As explained later in this learning challenge, in order to use H5P, you need access to a platform such as WordPress, Moodle or Drupal, or to pay for an account on H5P.com. While you are studying on this EDT4OL course, you can use your WordPress multisite for this purpose.
