Meet Cable Green
Dr Cable Green is Director of Global Learning at Creative Commons and works internationally promoting the adoption of open policy. In this video prepared for Open Education Week 2012, Cable reflects on the potential of sharing the world's knowledge with everyone for the marginal cost of zero using the enablers of open policy.
Cable points out that releasing resources produced from public funding under an open license or dedication to the public domain will ensure the long term sustainability of OER. Cable advocates that open should become the default and closed the exception.
