Digital skills for collaborative OER development/Announcement Session 4
Dear DS4OER participants
Welcome to Session 4 of the syllabus on Developing a storyboard. These instructions are for your Tuesday 21 April 2015.
If you joined us after the start date and missed any instructions for the previous sessions, you will find copies of all the DS4OER annoucements on the course site.
Observing recent changes in WikiEducator over the past few days, I can see that a number of DS4OER participants are making impressive progress with the learning challenges so far.
Reminder to register your learning challenges in the wiki
Don't forget to register your completed challenges on the WikiEducator site. In the tradition of open and transparent design, the outputs section of each learning challenge encourages participants to share the results of their design efforts so we can learn from each other.
Developing a storyboard
Today we explore the technique of storyboarding to develop a high level visualisation for the design of the learning pathway you are developing for DS4OER. This is a useful step in the design process which focuses on the sequencing of learning activities in the context of an assessment strategy for achieving the anticipated learning outcomes. Your time investment in conceiving a storyboard for your learning pathway will deliver good returns for the next challenge focusing on outlining a course. Here are the links you need for Session 4:
- Learning materials: Designing a storyboard
- Learning challenge: Storyboarding challenge
I look forward to seeing your DS4OER storyboards and these being shared among course participants.
Have a great day!
