Introductions
Overview
This workshop builds on the prior one in which social networking tools were explored to build academic communities. Here we examine the tools Google Docs, Wikis and Delicious online bookmarking to create and build collaborative academic networks with shared knowledge bases.
The goals of this workshop are for participants to work together to:
- recognize new pedagogical models of social learning
- demonstrate basic understanding of selected Web 2.0 tools
- describe how they might use these tools in their teaching
- explore Google Docs, Wikis and Delicious sites and explain their educational applications.
