Creating effective business presentations/Presentations to inform/Tasks
Building on the presentation outline you created earlier in this course, finalise your five-minute informative presentation.
Make sure that you include a storytelling component, and one or more visual aids, as well as:
- an attention statement,
- an introduction,
- three key points,
- a conclusion, and
- a residual message.
You may use video, PowerPoint, Google Slides, your blog, or another presentation software option of your choice to support your speech delivery. Whichever format you choose, practise your speech to ensure you can deliver the introduction and conclusion in a conversational way without referring to your notes or slides, and that you can complete your speech in the allotted time.
Also indicate who your audience is in a brief statement. This might be, for instance, a local Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, or other business audience, such as your colleagues in this course. Briefly describe how you would prepare for Questions and Answers (Q&A) at the end of your presentation.
