Read Section 11.5: Nonverbal strategies for success with your audience, in Saylor Academy (Ed.) 2012. Business Communication for Success. (See page(s) 456 - 458 in PDF version.)
This reading describes how to enhance your nonverbal communication by observing audience responses and inviting feedback on your message delivery.
Watch this short video [1:51 min.] on 'Intentionality', in which Andrew Bryant discusses how our intentions are expressed in our nonverbal communication, whether we aware of it or not. Audiences will know whether you care about your own message and their needs, or not. Before you give any presentation, think carefully about why you are doing it, and what you can give to your audience.
Do a web search for advice about nonverbal communication. Keep a note of any that you find particularly helpful (you may like to add your notes and/or resources to your learning journal).
What similarities do you notice in strategies suggested by different resources? Which of the suggestions do you find most helpful, and why?
Please post your responses in the course topic discussion forum.
