Understand stakeholder input in the MICE Industry

Activity

Identify stakeholders in specified destinations involved in a conference, group work

Task

You have been asked to organise a "tourism marketing" conference in Dunedin for the Tourism Industry Association. Provide an internet link for as many of these stakeholders as you can find. Please work in your groups, we will collate an information pack in class.  This is assessed.

• Convention or Visitor Bureau
• PCO's and Convention Managers
• Hotels - venue and accommodation (what features do they provide for a venue)
• Transportation
• Food services
• Exhibitors
• Facilities
• Delegates - who they may be (from what kind of organisations)
• Pre and post tour attractions
