Paul Kibwika is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Extension/Education, Makerere University in Uganda. He is also the Teamleader of a not for profit private company called People, Innovations and Change in Organisation (PICO-Uganda). He holds PhD in Social Science (Technology of Agrarian Development) obtained from Wageningen University in the Netherlands; MSc Agricultural Extension/Education and a BSc Agriculture from Makerere University. He has a wealth of fifteen years experience in teaching, research and outreach at one of the oldest African University, Makerere University. In the past eight years, he has acquired vast experience in facilitation of institutional reforms and strategic planning processes as well as capacity building in the areas of agricultural and rural innovations. His current research interests are in Education and communication for development. Reforming higher agricultural education institutions to become more relevant to national development attracts special attention.
