Ikoja-Odongo, John Robert
Prof. Ikoja is a Ugandan. He is married with children. Has extensive experience in Library issues having been an employee in libraries before. Holder of Cerificate in Library and Information Studies, Diploma in Librarianship (Makerere University), Bachelor of Arts in Publishing Studies (Delhi University India),M.Phil in Publishing Studies (Stirling University Scotland),PhD in Library and Information Science (University of Zululand South Africa). Has attended several worhshops including those organised by Makerere University, RAIN and RUFORUM on proposal development and other professional issues. He is employed at Makerere University at the School oof Library and Information Science where he teaches several courses. He has published widely in refereed journals. Has attended many international and local conferences where he has presented papers. He is part of the group now writing chapters for books in Library and Information Science. He is currently conducting bibliometric study on HIV/AIDS in Uganda. He is also engaged in a study of the information seeking behaviour of pastoralists of Uganda.
