Clarifying support is an integral part of designing and developing your course. When training happens in the workplace we can adapt our approach to the individual learner. It is equally as important that we consider the learner when creating online courses.

Identifying the key elements of learning support to be considered for the intended cohort is part of course planning and design. We need to understand who our intended learners are, how they learn, how to provide feedback and how they can learn from each other.

Considering the subject, concepts, language, literacy and numeracy as well as ICT and/or study skills during your course design will help you to create an engaging course. Another key element to learning support is understanding the every day challenges that your learners may have and adapting your course delivery to suit their needs.
