Refer to the OARAS document you are using as your project. After completing the Outcomes and Assessment sections, identify the types of resources that you can use to provide your learners with the knowledge requirements of your course.

1. Conduct your own research into Bloom’s Taxonomy and Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy.

2. Identify the verbs in your learning outcomes within your OARAS.

3. Reflect on how you can use this when creating your own resources.

The next step in completing the OARAS is to decide on the resources. Your resources will need purpose, not simply be learning for learning’s sake. They will need to aim to pass on specific information to the learner.

Before you begin, ask yourself:

  • What are the outcomes your learner needs to be competent in the job task?
  • What tools or equipment do they need?
  • Do you have existing workplace procedures that you can adapt?
  • Who is your learner?
  • How would you explain the process in the workplace?
  • How can you adapt that explanation into a meaningful resource?
  • How did you learn that task?
  • How will you assess the task?
