Whether you are experienced in designing competency-based training or brand new to it there is no better way of learning or improving a skill than practicing it. This part of the course is all about doing and learning as we do, so you will need a project to work on. If you are currently working on a new course or are reviewing and redeveloping a course that could be the perfect project to work on. As you go through the process of analysing outcomes and defining clear performance criteria, you will be provided with templates and supporting resources to help you complete the activities involved in your project.
On successful completion of your project you will:
- Distinguish between different outcomes e.g. learning outcomes, standards and competencies.
- Analyse outcomes and develop clear performance criteria.
- Interpret outcomes to support design and development of competency based training and assessment.
