This course is designed for educators and students who want to learn more about the core concepts of critical reasoning and how to overcome obstacles to clear thinking. This course will help you to:

  • Become a critical thinker by learning to think for yourself, that is, demonstrate independent thinking;
  • Make informed decisions that are based on facts and substantiated claims;
  • Reflect on your own thinking and develop a critical attitude to cultural stereotypes and biases;
  • Learn about a number of obstacles to clear thinking (fallacies) and why they should be avoided;
  • Use social media to support your learning;
  • Connect with educators around the world to share thoughts and experiences in relation to critical reasoning and the importance of independent thinking.
