Question: Needled of Cedrus deodara drop within a few days of pressing the twig for herbarium. How can it be prevented?
Answer: Immediately on breaking the twig from the tree, apply Formaline at the base of the needled, this will fix the tissues & prevent formation of absission layer hence needle like leaves will remain attached to the twig after it is pressed for herbarium.
