Basic Books in Science

The Basic Books in Science are being developed by renowned scientists. Editor in chief is Roy McWeeny, Professor Emeritus in Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Pisa, Italy. The books cover issues in the areas of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences. They start at the beginning and build up to a level that in most countries would coincide with that of a science student's first year in university. The Basic Books in Science are part of the 'For the Love of Science' community building initiative. The books are available under a CC-BY-SA license.
