Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) was set up in 2003 to cater to the growing demands of students interested in pursuing career in Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, PR/Corporate Communication, Event Management, Social Media, Bollywood and also acquiring necessary skills in News Anchoring, Electronic Cinematography and Video Editing.

Vision:

To produce creative and innovative young minds capable of leading and managing the tomorrow’s world of media and entertainment

Mission:

To propel young minds into becoming effective communicators To impart creative thinking skills by integrating various forms of knowledge of relevance to media & entertainment disciplines To facilitate exploration of the medium thus enabling the students to apply what they have learned in various situations

Director's Message

The experience that we have gained through ten years of running this institute gives us the advantage to do research and innovation.Our placement record has been excellent with students placed in leading television production companies and news networks, advertising agencies across different disciplines such as Client Servicing, Creative, Account and Media Planning in PR/event management firms and also leading newspapers.

No wonder, the institute has emerged as one of the finest media education institutes in India and also Asia. We get student interest from almost all parts of India and sometimes from abroad as well.

Our focus is on ensuring quality teaching through personal attention and maintaining high industry interaction.

Post Graduate Diploma in Television & Radio Journalism / Production

with focus on News Reporting / Anchoring / Electronic Cinematography & Video Editing

(Full Time) One-Year Programme

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Preference will be given to those with aptitude for writing and creative imagination and communication skills.

Internship: 8 Weeks

Post Graduate Diploma in Social Media & Web Journalism

with focus on Digital Media Production / Online Journalism & Graphic Design

(Full Time) One-Year Programme

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Preference will be given to those with aptitude for computer skills & also writing and creative imagination and communication skills.

Internship: 8 Weeks

Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising & Marketing Communication

(Full Time) One-Year Programme

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Preference will be given to those who have an aptitude for creative writing and effective communication & presentation skills.

Internship: 8 Weeks

Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Communication & Event Management

(Full Time) One-Year Programme

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Preference will be given to those who have an aptitude for creative writing, communication skills or interest in managing events.

Internship: 8 Weeks


* LATERAL ENTRY:

After successfully completing the above Post Graduate Diploma, students are fully qualified to join the industry and start their career. However, those of you who want to opt for higher studies, are eligible for direct admission in 2nd year of MA in Journalism & Mass Communication in UGC recognised Apeejay Stya University - India's first Liberal Arts and Meta University.

News and events

Recognition for Excellence in Media Education

AIMC won the "Excellence In Media Education" award at the HT Conclave held on February 22, 2013 in New Delhi. The Conclave was held to recognise the best of private institutes in Delhi/NCR in six different categories: Engineering, Management, Fashion Design, Mass Communication, Animation and Hotel Management. AIMC was the sole winner in its category.

Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC): Workshops conducted at other universities/institutes

Jaipur, AIMC, in collaboration with the Center for Mass Communication of Rajasthan University organised a two-day workshop on on 11th-12th March 2012 on tye following topics –

  1. DSLR Camera: A Mini Cam for Mega Movies
  2. Social Media Phenomenon
  3. Analyzing Ads
  4. Understanding TRP

The Workshop was attended by a large number of students belonging to the University of Rajasthan, International College of Girls, Kanoria College and other institutes based in Jaipur. The key AIMC resource persons for this Workshop were Asst. Prof. Rajeev Panda, Asst. Prof. Naveen Gautam, Dr. Puja Mahesh and Prof. Ashok Ogra.

Workshop for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University)

Apeejay Campus, New Delhi - Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication organised a one-day workshop on March 8 and 14, 2013 respectively for the students of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies and Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies (both affiliated to IP University) –
