Allocate

I'm interested in helping develop a policy concerning the allocation of the collection talents represented at this site. By this I mean that resources in scarce supply need to be focused on need (an old idea). I believe the appearance of abundance one encounters when visiting the web in the west has given many of us the impression that scarcity no longer exists--that there is so much it literally spills over the sides for everyone's use. Is there such a thing as allocation among free participants? Is there a place where needs can be posted and creators can be recruited? Problems created by abundance assumption: · everyone has the same basic understanding of the world—web monoculture · everyone has identical or at least closely matched needs—homogenization which we all abhor and daily accept · quantity is diversity—surely there’s something for everyone here
