A biomedical theory of acupuncture

this may or may not be the reality........

tiny needles... poke tiny holes....

in perhaps one or two... or perhaps three layers of skin.............

do not some viruses and/or bacteria interact then with the body to a greater degree than they otherwise might?

.......

the points where needles are stuck can be red....

sometimes the acupuncturist might leave them in until this redness is gone....

so is there not biochemical changes then producing and alleviating this redness?

perhaps this can increase health under certain circumstances... health or robustness....

also... burning moxa perhaps removes bacteria from the area............

cleaning the skin.... to allow for... biochemical interactions once the strile needles are used in the unsterile environment.......
