Course description

By completing this unit you will be able to describe the properties and features of a range of alternative building construction methods; and analyse and explain the impact of a range of alternative building construction materials.


Learning outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of alternative building construction methods. Includes: solid timber, steel frame, straw bale, polystyrene block, log, rammed earth, adobe brick, aerated concrete, expanded polystyrene metal clad panels.
