GoToTraining is a web-hosted online training service created and marketed by Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems. It is an online classroom and desktop sharing software that enables the user to present their screen to other trainees and students via the Internet in real time. GoToWebinar was originally developed by Citrix Online of Santa Barbara, California in February 2010. GoToTraining allows the desktop view of a host computer to be broadcast to a group of computers connected to the host through the Internet. Transmissions are protected with high-security encryption. By combining a web-hosted subscription service with software installed on the host computer, transmissions can be passed through highly restrictive firewalls. GoToTraining has been sold by itself and as part of a GoToMeeting Corporate suite of desktop sharing software. GoToTraining allows online screen sharing and audio conferencing from an Internet-connected computer running any of several operating systems to attendees using an Internet-connected computer. Software is installed by logging on to the GoToMeeting website. GoToTraining features include:

  1. End to end encryption and authentication security provided by a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) website with end-to-end 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption and optional passwords
  2. Specific application sharing for showing only selected programs with attendees
  3. Content library
  4. Integrated PayPal payment processing
  5. Multi-monitor support for a client computer
  6. Session recording and playback for recording and saving meetings to a user desktop for later review
  7. Total audio package provides toll based phone or conferencing via VoIP

GoToTraining hosts up to 200 users.
