WebEx Communications Inc. is a Cisco company that provides on-demand collaboration, online meeting, web conferencing and videoconferencing applications. WebEx was founded in 1996 under the name ActiveTouch by Subrah Iyar and Min Zhu. Zhu had co-founded Future Labs. WebEx applications are built on the MediaTone platform and supported by the WebEx MediaTone Network. http://www.webex.co.in/overview/ WebEx enables over 7 million people worldwide to communicate and collaborate online through web conferencing [1] WebEx is a web-based service, so you can use it from any computer (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Solaris) – as well as your iPhone, BlackBerry, or any other Wi-Fi or 3G-enabled mobile device. There\’s no complicated installation. Just log into your WebEx account to start or schedule a session. Participants don\’t need to be WebEx subscribers to join you online. WebEx provides free services for small group (3 people per meeting). You have to buy the product for more users connect. WebEx is not an open source product.
