Welcome to the Online Platform for IPYET 2012

This Wiki platform will be used for delivering the online components and assessments for the IPYET 2012 as well as general information about IPYET.

The International Labour Organization (ILO), Lusaka Office and the Commonwealth Youth Programme Regional Centre for Africa (CYPRCA), are happy to announce the 3rd Edition of its annual international Trainer of Trainers (TOT) conference on “International Perspectives in Youth Entrepreneurship Training” (IPYET 2011) from 20 – 29 April 2012 (residential) in Siavonga, Zambia. This will be preceded by an online programme from 23 January – 30 March 2012.

The programme is targeted at youth development practitioners, social development programmers, enterprise mentors, trainers and academia. In 2012, the programme may have three residencies - East Africa (to be confirmed), West Africa (to be confirmed), and Southern Africa (in Zambia). Each residential programme will accommodate a maximum of 30 participants. Participants are expected to have minimum of an academic degree with at least 1 year experience in youth work, or a diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in youth work. Basic IT skills and internet access is a must.

The Commonwealth Youth Programme Regional Centre for Africa (CYPRCA) and the ILO Lusaka Office will offer partial bursaries to some successful applicants. Bursaries may cover parts of only tuition, materials and Lodging up to USD$2,000 of the cost of participation. Participants are expected to cater for their own travel to and from Zambia and local upkeep and cover any other costs not covered by the bursary.
