Module 5:Meaningful engagement and assessment of learners

This module deals with the issue of student retention,and the importance of engaging learners in order to minimize dropouts from MOOCs. The topic of assessment in MOOCs is also dealt with in this module, and we will take a closer look at some of the techniques available that you might consider in your own MOOC.

By the end of the week, you should know how to:

• Evaluate strategies for engaging learners on MOOCs
• Discuss a range of assessment techniques that can be used for MOOCs
