What is the QA4ODFL Bot?
The QA4ODFL Bot is an experimental robotic chat tool currently in development. It is being trained to assist learners with content-related questions in this course. The term 'Bot' is short for 'robot' and refers to a computer program designed to simulate chat conversation.
The Bot is powered by ChatGPT, a technology owned by the commercial company OpenAI. ChatGPT is a computer program that utilises generative AI, a branch of artificial intelligence. This technology generates text based on the input it receives.
The Commonwealth of Learning is prototyping the capabilities of generative AI as a possible technology to provide automated support to learners as an option.
