  1. Explain what Open and Distance Learning (ODL) involves and how it differs from traditional learning;
  2. Explain why it is important to mainstream ODL in their countries;
  3. Identify an appropriate ODL model for their context;
  4. Consider appropriate HR strategies for open schooling;
  5. Advise on most appropriate technologies that can be harnessed to leverage the quality of ODL in their context; and
  6. Contribute meaningfully to ODL policy development and review in their countries.
