What is the QA4ODFL Bot?
The QA4ODFL Bot is an experimental robotic chat tool currently in development. It is being trained to assist learners with content-related questions in this course. The term 'Bot' is short for 'robot' and refers to a computer program designed to simulate chat conversation.
The Bot is powered by ChatGPT, a technology owned by the commercial company OpenAI. ChatGPT is a computer program that utilises generative AI, a branch of artificial intelligence. This technology generates text based on the input it receives and uses knowledge from training data to generate a response.
The Commonwealth of Learning has subscribed to access ChatGPT through a customized web service that they have developed. The QA4ODFL Bot has been trained using the course materials.
How do you access the QA4ODFL Bot?
For your privacy protection, COL does not require you to log into the Bot. Please refrain from sharing any personal information (such as your name, email address, or employer) when interacting with the chatbot.
