Making the right argument
As we have seen in the last section, there are a number of ways to support your argument. In this section we will look at more rhetorical strategies that can be useful when writing an academic essay.
The overall purpose of this learning pathway is to learn how to refine the defense of your argument and to add further rhetorical strategies and techniques to your writing arsenal. Your goal is to:
- Learn about further rhetorical strategies.
- Identify and apply these strategies to your essay, where appropriate.
- Further refine your essay.
