Carol, that's looking good and pleased to see the reuse and remix approach :-)

  1. I don't think CSF101 learners will need a WikiEducator account as they are not required to author anything in the wiki.
  2. I suspect that we are going to implement a single sign on solution for the OERu MVP which may change some of the login details - but don't worry about that now. Until we know what the implementation will look like - we can go with what we have at the moment.

Thinking about the cohort-based presentation options. Our data from the prototype mOOCs we have offered over the years shows considerable attrition of the self-interest learners from Week 3 onwards. This is not an issue for the learners studying for academic credit - however, the self-interest learners are the engine for P2P learning support and we should leverage this for the advantage of the for-credit learners because the OERu model does not provide tutorial support.

In this regard - I suggest that we target 10 working days for "block" presentation of the 4 learning pathways - with the remaining two weeks left for learners to prepare their assessments. So for example, the OCL4Ed course description on oeru.org states "2 weeks, 10 hours per week" for the block session and the Assessments of 20 hours.

Will they need a wikieducator account to post to WEnotes?

Nope - the registration on the course site will provide credentials for WENotes (as was the case with DS4OER). However, in DS4OER folk needed a wiki account for authoring materials. It just happens that a WikiEd account also provides credentials for posting on WENotes.
