. I think there's a lot of stigma against AI based technologies. There's a few hiccups right now with AI; mainly cause because of manufacturing rushing the making (example Tesla cars) but I think we can really benefit to AI especially when it comes to educating or helping out others because it can adapt and learn from different people and or situations. AI can help with training and educating others and maybe later can do basic tasks like temperature checks and later more complex like working at the DMV. As technology gets more advanced hopefully AI can get better in the future.
. I agree that AI will be very beneficial for us. I remember Tesla starting the self driving car was very scary to me, but nowadays you can see self-driving delivery cars and taxis in SF. Great things take time and I believe that AI will be able to help a lot of people.

. I agree with your sentiment that the rushing of artificial intelligence is likely why AI has a stigma of being dangerous. Too many companies have a culture similar to Facebook's "move fast and break things", and in artificial intelligence is empowered to cause real damage in some scenarios.
. I honestly believe machine learning could be super useful in limiting the overall work in several aspects of life such as business, which I mentioned in my other reply. The benefits that come with these AI programs in my opinion outweigh any of the downsides and are totally worth trying out in the future.

AI is not fully developed but it has the potential to take over many of our day-to-day functions. According to the article, several things are already in our Community. Almost all businesses are now more digital than ever. As Susan indicates, data privacy and security, buyers' issues, human resources, and limited knowledge are some challenges for most small businesses and non-profit organizations.

. I agree that AI is growing to have a very popular presence in our current society. But in my opinion, I think machine learning in data analysis is much more useful than other inventions like self-driving cars. There have been many instances of these cars malfunctioning and containing errors that cause them to crash. I think that AI can be somewhat controversial with the fear that AI will take over and we would be left with no jobs. However, as long as we are able to balance AI and human interaction then I think AI would be extremely beneficial to society. Companies are dedicating multiple teams and hierarchies of management to data science and machine learning. Specialised chips and quantum computers are being built to process these large sets of data, to create AI. I think that all this will really help humanity to excel, at least from the technological perspective. . Every machine learning model needs a feedback loop to improve over time. Lets say we have a model to analyze patient X-rays for cancer. When first deployed, it would likely make many false-negative and false-positive errors. It would improve when learning which of its decisions were wrong, but humans lives might be lost due to these errors.

AI can be leveraged to to automate many jobs in the services industry, which is the bulk of jobs in a developed economy like ours. Lower labor intensity through automation means a reduction of costs for services that would normally be performed by a human, but also a reduction of the number of available service jobs. . I wanted to find a resource that would present potential positive and negative impacts AI may have on our society. This article lists 14 different ways AI can impact society. For example, it mentioned how there are still concerns about the safety of this technology, particularly in regard to automobiles, and also addressed the concern that it may "destroy jobs". They went on to explain how the workforce will actually benefit from this change as long as this technology is gradually implemented and workers are given the chance to adapt and use this technology to their advantage. . I think that one of the dangerous parts of artificial intelligence is the practice around how companies across the world create machine learning models. Models might be rapidly deployed to make critical decisions without much testing, and cause real harm to society. Companies with large platforms should naturally be held responsible to thoughtfully train, test, and monitor their models. It wouldn't surprise me that scrappy young startups would be willing to cut corners and be less rigorous with their models.
