Dear Learners,

I am Mrs. Falguni Pal obtained B.Com Hons, BLIS, MLIS, presently working as Librarian of RCC Institute of Information Technology at Kolkata. Prior to my present affiliation, I have rendered valuable services as the Librarian of Narula Institute of Technology (NIT), Pailan College of Management and Technology (PCMT), and also Sivanath Sastri College at Kolkata. So, I am holding more than ten years of professional experience and expertise in the field of LIS; thus my involvement as librarian of various academic and technical institutions constituted the totality of my experience in organizing a library and for taking up responsibilities of a modernize library.

However I have been recognized as academic counselor and empanelled as evaluator of IGNOU for MLIS courses and participated in various national / international workshops, trainings as well as presented papers in different conferences. Mrs. Pal has published more than ten papers and organized a seminar as well an exhibition to her credit. Her area of interest lies in application of IT in libraries (includes e-Learning), e-resource management, and library systems and services evaluation.

However, I worked as newsreader and anchor in doordarshan, tara-bangla, and siti-news.
