Six facets of understanding (note to colleagues)
A variety of performance verbs fall under each of the six facets of understandings. Prior to the webquest activity, assessment and instruction serve to develop enabling knowledge and subskills in ways that students begin providing evidence through the expression of these six facets. The webquest is designed to evaluate to what degree these six facets emerge. It is for that reason I am hesitant to explicitly state the six facets in the rubric itself for fear that their performance will feel forced and unnatural.
