Another case would be the integration of ODEC into a collection. Let's explain this case with an easy example: You want to prepare a simple presentation. After you have searched for existing resources for your topic you want to reuse some slides from another presentation and integrate them into yours. The whole presentation is now your collection with some integrated ODEC resources. It now depends on the license of the used resources what you can do with them.

The figure below shows the compabilities and incompabilities of different Creative Commons Licenses. If you have a license which obliges you to publish under the same license - your collection has to have the same license as the used resource. If you do not want to apply the same license the resource is not useful for your collection and you have to search for material with a license which offers you more freedom of reuse.
