Youtube Template Conditions draft

This is a draft proposal for the conditions of use for a Youtube template to facilitate embedding of YouTube videos in WikiEducator content pages. However, the drafting of these conditions does not constitute a decision by WikiEducator to permit the embedding of Youtube video. This proposal must be discussed by the community using a consensus model before a final decision is taken by the Interim Advisory Board.

The final decision is subject to legal opinion on the legitimacy of embedding Youtube video in the context of an open wiki utilising a default CC-BY-SA license.

Background

Recent discussions on the WikiEducator Mailing List suggest that some users require the functionality of embedding Youtube video in WikiEducator content pages. In responding to stated User needs, we are exploring the options and WikiEducator policy requirements for incorporating this functionality.

Prior to taking a final decision on this request, we are obligated to consult widely and to determing the conditions of use by the WikiEducator community.

The conditions specified below, detail the anticipated usage requirements which will be linked from a template specifically designed for this purpose.
