Discussion

Categories are a useful navigation tool enabling educators and learners to find available resources. (See the related guideline All pages categorized.) Requiring that all categories be a sub-category of at least one other category will create a web of hierarchical connections, and notably not a strictly hierarchical tree, but rather a collection of overlapping trees. This web of connections is a valuable tool for exploring related resources. --Alison Snieckus 13:49, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
