Steps in preparing the Marketing Plan

There are ten steps involved in preparing a marketing plan. We said the steps are:

  1. Defining the business situation;
  2. Defining the target market/oppportunities and threats;
  3. Considering strengths and weaknesses;
  4. Establishing goals and objectives;
  5. Defining marketing strategy and action pogrammes;
  6. Co-ordinating of the planning process;
  7. Designing responsibiity for implementation;
  8. Budgeting the marketing plan;
  9. Implementing the Marketing Strategy;
  10. Monitoring process or marketing actions.

Let us look at each of these steps in this section.
