Respected Savithri ji I have uploaded a powerpoint presentation for Skill of Set Induction in my homepage(User:Singhkamal)and a Lesson plan which may be followed for demonstrating that skill. This material is for open use. But,I had found difficulty to upload a ppt file. Kindly focus upon the same on Oct 06, 2008 workshop session. thanks Kamal Deep Singh

Leigh Blackall working with Otago Polytechnic in Educational Development has set up a page for discussions on WE framework of National and Transnational curriculum in the WikiEducator gorup on Google Groups. Hi Savitri, I just chanced upon WikiEducator through your comment on Prof.Lakhotia's article. In fact, I was forwarding the Current Science article to my colleagues in Mumbai who are as anguished as you guys about the mushrooming undergraduate Biotechnology courses in the so called 'self-financing' sector which in essence is a total rip off!Further it cuts into the student strength of basic science courses. Students and parents are carried away by the hype and hoopla and the university authorities and those of UGC and the AICTE are willing collaborators in this criminal act.
Now coming to the idea of WikiEducator and the role you guys in Delhi play, look amazing! I doubt any one in Mumbai is part of this movement. [I have been suggesting to the Bombay University and College Teachers' Union that we should have Facultywise teachers' gathering to promote academic activities outside the University's forums like Academic Council or the Faculty.] Please help us organizing a network like what you have at Delhi.
