Rest well - we're always interested to here from folk who have joined our community. What do we want to know? - I suppose your interests and why you created an account. This helps folk connect with each other in the community.

Cheers --Mackiwg 01:02, 26 May 2007 (CEST)

Morning, First of all are there plans for a dutch version of wikeEducator? Because my knowledge of english isn't that good. And when did this project start? Why i made an account...well i don't know. The 'problem' of me is that when i'm wikiing i get questions. because it's knowhow what's on wiki. But i can't ask questions at teachers. At a moment it stops...you can't go on and on.

A dutch version of wikieduc. is a nice thing. in my opinion it's a good thing to use internet, wikipedia and Wimax. the connection must be better. faster. education for free?!

wikipedia is good because of the honest writing. do's and dont's are told. neutralissues are told. So i think a good thing. But dutch is easier. bye.Gprod 16:44, 26 May 2007 (CEST)

Hi Gprod - Good morning!

Your English is very good! If you like you can write in Dutch, I can read and understand Dutch pretty well - but I can't write it myself. (My Wife is Dutch speaking!) Starting a new language for a Wiki from a technical perspective is easily done. The real challenge is to build a sustainable community.

WikiEducator is a relatively young project which is working to develop free educational materials. You will find some information on the early history of the project here.

I suggest that you start a few content pages in Dutch and invite a few Dutch friends and colleagues to help. A good place to start would be translating the WikiEducator tutorials. Once we have an active and sustainable group of Dutch contributors - we can then set up a dedicated Dutch wiki and migrate all the pages. What do you think? --Mackiwg 18:36, 26 May 2007 (CEST)
