Zambia College of Distance Education

Background

The college begun as a unit under Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts just after 1964. In 1965, the unit was moved to Luanshya and from the year 1975, it operated under the name,National Correspondence College up to the year 2000.

The college mandate is to offer distance education to the citizens regardless of their status in society. it boosted of enrolling over 30 000 students by 1981.

Structure of the College

The college has four departments,namely; Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, English and Mathematics.
