My Profile
Hello everyone. My name is Youshra Rajabalee and I'm new to wikis. I'm located in the Indian Ocean, more precisely, the Mauritius Island.
I have a background in Computing and IS and I am presently Research Assistant at the VCILT(Virtual Centre for Innovative Learning Technologies) - University of Mauritius.
Professional Background
My work consists of looking for Open Education Resources that can be used to mount courses to the local context, as well as, designing of e-learning websites and courseware authoring on the e-learning platform.
Education
I did my BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information System, awarded by the University of Huddersfield, UK. I am currently doing my MSc in Educational Technologies, at the University of Mauritius
My Interests
I like reading articles, newspapers, books and all that concerns reading, I just love reading. I also like to surf on the net, jumping from one link to another, searching for books, or home decoration accessories or even stylish clothes.
Professional
- I like to look for IT books on the net, especially on the http://www.softarchive.net, where one can get access to a variety of series of books based on almost every topic one might be searching on. I also like to learn about new technologies which can be used in the educational sector, in my country.
Personal
- The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can become
- The true test of character is not how much we know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do
- Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal
- The difference between a boss and a leader: a boss says, 'Go!' - a leader says, 'Let's go!'

My Reflection
According to me, if there is a way to explain to someone the concept of wiki, it will be most probably by getting into practice the tutorials of the Learning4Content. You may access these tutorials under a step-by-step approach.

You are ahead of schedule with regards to your picture question: A good way to learn in a wiki is to go to the edit mode of a page that you like or if you can't wait to move ahead you can check out the online schedule for the images tutorial.
