Future studies: dissertation and other works

  • Undertake an intervention in a K-12 public school in Brazil to train teachers how to use and create OER. The central question that will guide my study is: What are the characteristics of an effective OER in-service professional development course for K-12 public school teachers? The main objective of this mixed methods design-based research (DBR) study is to measure the effectiveness of a design for an OER in-service professional development program for K-12 public school teachers. The main goal of the OER in-service professional development program will be to widen knowledge and build capacity on OER by training teachers how to locate, create, use, reuse, remix and adapt OER and to assess how such practices can be sustained.
  • I recently completed a capstone project on leadership in Distance Education. This capstone project was developed using Live Binders.
