I am Vida & I would like to know more about how to navigate & edit in a wiki so I am participating in a Learning 4 content workshop.
I am from Central Otago, New Zealand and work as a Facilitator at the Community Learning Centre, Otago Polytechnic in Alexandra.
I have recently participated in FOC and wanted to learn more about wikis. In our Community Learning Centre we help people learn to operate computers. We have a wide range of age, ability & learning styles. I have been the Team leader at the centre for 4 years & really enjoy the students: it is great to see them gain confidence & try new things. I have been working on an online accounting course & would like to put the information on WikiEducator so want to be able to edit & link etc. Prior to working for Otago Polytechnic I spent 10 years working in research in Dunedin at Otago University in the Biochemistry Dept looking at Molecular Mechansims of Memory, which was very interesting but obsessive! My husband & I live just out of Alexandra & have 10 acres which keeps us busy. We have 2 adult children, one is a Pharmacist in Wellington & the other is doing a PhD in Toronto.

: Hi Vida, I think Nellie may want you to add a personal infobox. That appears to be where the facilitators add your certifications. Have a look at my user page, just go into edit mode and copy the infobox_personal lines and past them into your userpage. If you need a hand, I'm happy to help.
