I'm Reshad Codabaccus from Mauritius. I'm a primary school teacher and I teach kids aged 5-11 at Bon Accueil Government School - a rural school in the east of Mauritius. Subjects taught at school are: Mathematics, Science, History & Geography, English, French, and Asian languages like Hindi, Urdu and Tamil.
After my secondary education Cambridge School and Higher School Certificates, I joined the civil service and worked in different ministries before I joined the Ministry of Education. I continued my education and I was graduated from The British Computer Society. For my professional development I'm presently enrolled for MSc in Educational Pedagogies at the University of Mauritius.
I'm interested in creating digital resources for pupils and teachers of the primary sector. I use technology in my classroom for some flexible delivery - pupils take home lessons in CDs and DVDs. We have established a mediatecque consisting of learning materials in various media and pupils hire them freely for home viewing.
I'm working on various projects towards the integration of technology in teaching at primary level.
- Association of Teachers Teaching with Technology - AT3
- Regional E-clustering of Primary School - 10 schools involved
- E-twinning of low and high performing schools to share resources based on the European model
- Introduction to Word Processing
- Film Analysis Film Analysis
