Hi,
My name is Prem. I am a meteorologist and I work at the Meteorological Services in Mauritius. The island is located close to the tropic of Capricorn and enjoys a tropical maritime climate throughout the year. Winter months are very pleasant. During summer, it gets warm with occasional heavy showers and sometimes we receive the visit of tropical cyclones. It may be fun working during cyclones but sometimes destructive winds can become scary, especially when you see trees being uprooted, roof-tops of houses being blown and electric wires broken. These meteors are also accompanied by heavy or even torrential precipitation which causes flood. In fact flood waters cause more damages than the wind itself.
O yes, I was suppose to write about me. The above few lines was just to practice on the wiki editor. May be I will stop today because I have to go. I will continue this text next time.
